Source of inspiration, the passion for watersport runs in the Marcela’s family.
The idea of travelling to kite is so fascinating to Marcela that competition turned out to be just an excuse to spend her life on the road in search of wind and waves. She likes wild and simple things.
For her, the sea and the ocean feel like home, it is a place where you feel comfortable, free and complete.

Marcela Interview
Can you tell us a bit more about your passion for Kitesurfing?
I grew up watching my parents windsurfing. Windy places are familiar to me since I was a little kid. When I was 13 my dad and grandpa teach me how to kite and since that I knew that I could do this my whole life. Kitesurf to me is a way to push my limits, challenge myself and at the same time my way to relax.
You just won the lottery, what would you do first?
I would buy a sail boat and travel the world searching for the best conditions to surf and kitesurf and learning about different cultures.
Next destination?
Nazaré, Portugal.

What’s the most amazing thing you’ve experienced?
Kiting in Antartica, 1000 km downwind in north Brazil and kiting in a big day at Praia do Norte, Nazaré.
What are you doing during a day without wind?
Going surfing.
