Justine Interview

Can you tell us a bit more about your passion for surfing?

I deeply enjoy spending time in nature and felling surrounded by this uncontrollable force, whereas I tend to try to control everything.

You just won the lottery, what would you do first?

For that, I would have to enter it :) As far as I'm concerned, I'm a winner every day, and I'm happy to be living my life to the fullest with goals I'm passionate about.
Otherwise, if one day I really do win something like this, I'd like to make a difference for the planet and future generations.

What’s the most amazing thing you’ve experienced?

In the unbelievable sense, in Nazaré, I got swept away in a whirlpool in the middle of the sea, after coming out of a wave under Fred's watchful eye. I sank with my board very quickly and very deep, then the ocean released me and fortunately there were no waves coming and Fred was there to pick me up. It was hard to believe what had just happened.
