Fred
David

He is world bodysurfing champion and the standard he has achieved in the sport needs no further proof. Fred David is passionate about the ocean, the natural world and his adventurous lifestyle. He makes the most of his twofold ability as an athlete and a lifeguard by being Justine Dupont's "best partner in crime".

Calm is his greatest asset in situations where risk goes off the scale! If everything were that easy, it would be less notable. Fred needs tough and demanding conditions to have a bit of fun.

STAY POSITIVE.

Fred Interview

Can you tell us a bit more about your passion for Surfing?

More than surfing, I love to be in the water and in the waves, on a surfboard, swimming, diving , driving a jet... Swimming led me to sea rescue which introduced me to body surfing and then surfing later.

Now, I find a mix of everything in big wave surfing, it's great.

You just won the lottery, what would you do first?

I'm thinking of doing projects about environmental matters.

Otherwise, I would also like to be able to help to develop safety in surfing big waves especially in Nazare.

Next destination?

Probably a trip to Europe on a swell by the end of the winter and then Tahiti before the summer. I've never been there, I can't wait!

“ Living from my passion, dreaming of new projects... ”
What’s the most amazing thing you’ve experienced?

Living from my passion, dreaming of new projects, setting them up, making them happening and sharing them with people I like.

What are you doing during a day without waves?

Right now I'm spending a lot of time on the computer developing our YouTube channel... with Justine.

We frequently post videos that we direct, film and edit on our own and it takes quite a while.

It's really interesting and we've got some busy days ahead!
