Graves
A surfer-filmmaker driven by curiosity and creativity, Dylan Graves explores the wild edges of surfing in search of the world’s most unusual waves and the communities that surround them. Known for his “Weird Waves” series, he lives for the chase of strange, overlooked, and far-flung spots on the planet, whether it’s in freezing darkness, inaccessible coastlines, or waves that shouldn’t really exist. A natural storyteller with a taste for the unpredictable, he thrives in the unknown. If it’s easy, he’s probably not interested. For Dylan, surfing is less about perfection, and more about exploration, connection, and embracing the weird.

Dylan Interview
Can you tell us a bit more about your passion for surfing?
My parents both surfed so we were always around it, but the moment I fell in love with it was actually when I body surfed into a tube for the first time. I got sucked into the portal and never looked back.
How did your YouTube channel come about, and what do you want to show through your content?
After filming the “Weird Waves” series, I wanted to keep pushing down the wormhole of filmmaking and searching / hanging / surfing with unique characters in our sport. And I guess I’m still on this journey now!
You just won the lottery, what do you do first?
Become a captain, buy a boat, and disappear.
