Delannoy

Camille is a chilled guy on land that turns into a restless kid once on the water. No matter the conditions he is destroying the spot, spraying water and spinning around everywhere.

Camille Interview

Can you tell us a bit more about your passion for kitesurfing?

I always wanted to do kitesurfing when I was a kid but I was too young so I started with windsurfing. I started with kitesurfing when I was 12 yo and since this time, I’ve been kiting almost everyday for the last 7 years. What I like in kiteboarding is that there is so much stuff to do : a lot of discipline, a lot of spots and of course endless possibilities in each disciplines.

Since the last 7 years, I've never got bored about kitesurfing because I’m still discovering some new tricks and locations in almost every sessions and when I go out of the water the first thing I’m thinking about is the next session I’ll have.

You just won the lottery, what would you do first?

I guess I would go for a 1 month trip with my family on the US west coast, going from San Francisco all the way down to Baja California.

Next destination?

I don't know yet, where ever there is wind and waves!

“ When I go out of the water the first thing I’m thinking about is the next session! ”
What’s the most amazing thing you’ve experienced?

I think it was the Manera trip in Canada one year ago. We were living for one week on a small Island in the middle of nowhere in total autonomy. No water, no electricity and of course no internet. We had no comfort at all but it was by far the best trip of my life : I think it will stay in my memory for many years.

What are you doing during a day without wind?

I have plenty of stuff to do when there is no wind : going to the gym, studying, editing some photos and videos, etc. Even if it’s not windy (that doesn't happens much in my home spot) I never got bored : the life of a kitesurfer is not only about going on the water.
